Dog, TOTALLY agree about the little leaguers, those kids are all kinds of incredible, I'd quit my job to watch the LLWS ...if I had one...
I'm pumped for the new NFL season too and as a Patriot fan...well, I've got nothing to say that you can't counter with the use of the word...SCOREBOARD!!! Your boys earned it, beat us fair and square and have mad respect for the NYG fans for not acting like the NYJ fans...bunch of bitchy little girls...
Damn I hate New York... [muttered under breath]

In my view, all they wanted to do was to extend their careers as long as they could. They had the talent when they were young and HGH came along that could be bought over the counter. So as they got hurt and older they wanted to play and it was too easy. It is too bad for these guys that the drugs became available at the time frame when they were playing. I am thinking that when I am about 65 I would like a little help as well.

For some of these guys I don't think it is a black and white issue. Look at McGuire, in 98 he had andro on the top shelf of his locker, everyone knew it was there, it was no big deal. It wasn't until several years later that it became a banned substance. This is kind of like a cop pulling you over today because he saw you driving and talking on a cell phone 6 years ago. Now if the substances were still being used after the ban than by all means they should be denied.

You make a good point. If its not illegal, it's not illegal. But, how do we reconcile that with the ancient records that were broken with its use? I doubt Babe Ruth used any performance enhancers. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure he used performance inhibitors. Just doesn't seem fair.
