Default A question on Science Diet cat/pet food

You know I'm more of a animal person than a people person. I love my dogs and cat.

My cat now around 10-11 years is becoming a picky eater. I have bought holistic cat food and cat food made in Canada with the best meats. The best I can find or money can buy.

But it looks like he has chosen Science Diet as his new favorite. The thing is I think it's made in f'n china.

Anybody have any experience with Science Diet? I might be willing to bite the bullet on it if I can get some good feedback.

I F'N hate buying chinesse pet food. I have not all these years but the f'n red army just might get my money on this one.

I once heard a comedian talk about cats being picky eaters... He said 'if it don't eat for 2 or 3 days, it'll eat a peanut butter and jelly effin sandwich'

As they get older they sometimes lose weight and their teeth may not be what they used to. You can supplement the diet with canned wet food. Most cats cannot resist it. When my oldest is acting grouchy, that's what I do.

I don't know anything about Science Diet...eff China...My canine critter gets Hund-N-Flocken, made in CA. It's holistic, organic and pretty affordable. She's a beagle so I could give her crap on a cracker and she'd gobble it up so I can't say if your pets will like it or not...Also pretty sure they make a cat critter mix as well...They sell it at PetSmart here in NC, not sure if that chain goes out west but if they do, give it a try...I pay $10 for a 4 lb bag and it'll last her for a good few weeks...

Sold under the 'Solid Gold name but it's the same product...

This is the latest food I have tried. He seems to like it but then he doesn't. Driving me crazy. 16.00 for a 5 lb bag.

Thanks for the good read Zombiegirl!

I have not spoken to a vet. I was raised in a tough family. My mom used to say "it's better not to know". I'm going with that for now. Until I see some more dire signs. But I promise I wont wait to long.

Yeah I wouldn't wait too long because it might be something small now but bad if you wait. My mom's cat stopped eating and she found out he had a bad tooth. They pulled it and problem solved.

You're telling me CasaDeC3 serves up Meow Mix and Key Lime Yogurt and the cats like it? Lucky you!
