One valentine's day we were broke. So I took a piece of 1/4" thick 1018 Cold Rolled Steel I had out in the shop (I made Handmade Knives for a living at the time) I traced out a real nice little about 3-3.5" heart pattern on it. I then cut it out on the metal cutting bandsaw dressed up all the edges on my belt grinder and made it all nice and smooth. I then took a set of 1/8th inch tall letter and number stamps and pounded a message of love into it with the stamps and a ball pen hammer.
I gave it to my wife and told her my love for her would last as long as the little heart would.
Must have worked its at least 22 years later the little heart is still on a curio shelf she keeps in her dressing room and we still chase each other around the house like horny kids.
I don't see what the problem is. Everybody is being nice, and getting along, and I, for one, am learning stuff. So, if you don't like the discussion, don't look at the thread. Or, simply cut to the chase, and close it.
Is there an age limit for a thread, after which we kill it?
