Default A proposal...

A new bill to be introduced in congress.

Since the intent of the second amendment is to leave power in the hands of the people, and not a military, or police state, then the law should be amended to state, that all military and police under the United States, shall not possess or use in their duties, any weapon greater than that of the average American citizen.

Ban assault weapons, but you better take them from the police and military then too.

I would support that. What's fair for the goose, is fair for the gander.

Si vis pacem parabellum.

To those who wish to take away our Second Amendment rights. What will you do when we, all 100,000,000 of us, stand as one, and say no?

The intent is to make the citizen a subject.

Another angle that could be taken (and won't legally violate the 2A) is to restrict the citizens to having only calibers that are not used by the military or police. It would make forensics easier to identify who shot what in a confrontation. They are not infringing on our right to have and bear arms, just the caliber.

I do not support such an action, but we have to be vigilant on all aspects.
