The price on ammo even when this subsides is still going to be 7-15% higher from most manufacturers so dont expect to see the bargains we had a year ago . Im starting to see more and more rifle ammo back on the shelves along with some pistol calibers . Really just want some .22lr so I can take the kids out and practice , We have quite a bit of it but when they go out and shoot 500 rds in a afternoon it doesnt take it long to make it go away

It is all about supply and demand. The High demand is cooling very fast. The supplies will be staggering in the coming months. I expect prices to be very low very soon.

Second that partner!! Finding those bulk packs of 300+ rounds without a $$$$$ pricetag is like discovering a selakant these days!

Everybody calm the heck down and quit yelling at eachother!

I hope ammo prices come down soon. When I can get the stuff, I will definetly start reloading .223 and .45 ACP

It's nice to see a font size these old eyes can see!

Just back from a gun show. Plenty of black rifles, prices still sky high. Parts still scarce.

I think it's going to take 9-12 months for a return to normal

Nephew went to the Laurel gun show and reported very few handguns, some black rifles, some more traditional hunting rifles, not much ammo, and sky-high prices on what ammo was there. I LOL'd when he said $500 for 1000 rounds of WPA in 7.62x39mm. Of course, on the plus side, he did sell a Chinese SKS and an extra mag (metal 30 round) for $475. It was a really clean-looking rifle, but I don't think his wife felt it was necessary to have more than one.

It has been the time to sell. I peddled some extra new inventory and was happy to just about break even. I did buy some ammo after the election though -- uncommon surplus that hadn't gone up but that disappeared after Sandy Hook. And since Sandy Hook I only made one ammo purchase. A company was selling a pre-packaged bundle of rimfire ammo especially high for the 200 rounds they said it was. They lowered the price and corrected themselves when I asked them to confirm it was 500 rounds, which they did, and I bought one.
