Default Price of a quart of oil at Wal-Mart up 20%

I went to Wal-Mart this morning to pick up a quart of oil becuase I needed a little to top off my truck. I use Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic 5W-30. The price was $4.57 for one quart. Back at the end of April, when I changed my oil, the price was $3.76 for a quart. That is a increase of $0.81, or over 20%. I know prices are going up on all items, but that seemed like a big jump even considering what is going on in the gulf. Anyone else taking note of the rising prices?

I'm in California, we are screwed when it comes to any petroleum product. Our prices are pretty much the most expensive in the Country. The libs and the enviro-wackos run this State.

I hadn't noticed.
Ever tried that Supertech synthetic at Wally world? One of the peeps on the car forum i frequent has had multiple samples analyzed & it always holds up well, of course, this is in lil four banger engines. It is also about $10 for the 5 quart jug, or it was last weekend.
