Preying on the Elderly

Preying on the Elderly

In Newark, Ohio, a robber is targeting senior citizens, attacking four times so far.

According to authorities, the robber is focusing on victims between the ages of 70 and 80, most likely assuming they will be unable to fight back.

The Newark police have announced a "safety forum" to be held tonight (Nov 25) at 7:00pm. Hopefully, they will remind Seniors that a firearm is the best defense against a violent home invader. Home invasions happen quickly and without warning, making it vital that your defensive firearm be within reach at all times. There might not be time to run to the bedroom to retrieve it, especially considering that many of our elder members of society are mobility impaired. A gun in hand is worth two in the guncase!

just hope the elderly who choose to have a firearm arnt afraid to use them so they dont get hurt even worse or the gun ends up in the street to commit more crime

This is just sad, it takes a really terrible kind of person to go after the weak, but that's how predators work. This kind of thing is so widespread I can't say I'm surprised at all.
