POTUS fact game.

Pick any President of the United States, even the current one. State a fact that surprized you when you learned that fact. No links are needed until someone calls BS and can support their claim. Then you have to find a source for the fact. Could be interesting, I think. We'll see. :D

Just learned that the current POTUS has played golf 11 times since being sworn in. Several liberal newspapers have said it is basically a good thing.

President Taft was so big, a special bathtub had to be made for him. It could fit 5 normal sized men.

POTUS Lincoln suffered from manic depression.

Supposedly the seventh inning stretch started because President Taft was too big to sit through an entire baseball game comfortably. When he stood in the seventh, the rest of the crowd followed the chief in suit.

President Hoover and several members of his staff would gather every morning on the White House lawn to play "Hoover Ball." Basically it was the Prez's form of daily excercise, where they'd toss a big medicine ball back and forth over a volleyball net. If your side dropped the ball, the other team got a point.

Evidently they did this like every single day of his presidency and it kept Hoover quite healthy.

Lincoln was the only President ever to obtain a patent. In 1849 he invented a complicated device for lifting ships over dangerous shoals by means of "buoyant air chambers." Much to Lincoln's disappointment, U.S. Patent No. 6,469 was never put into practical use.

Oh, and Lincoln, the Union President, and Jefferson Davis, the Confederate President, were both from Kentucky. :)

Ulysses S. Grant got a speeding ticket for riding his horse to fast on a street in Washington while President.

President Obama is half black.

I read that stinkin Lincoln had a horrible, screechy speaking voice & that his speeches were best enjoyed reading them in the next day's newspaper.
