DrFootbal Thank you

Sorry to hear about Shiomo,my Dad had a English pointer that had a enlarged heart,he only lived to be 4-5 years old? He was a great bird dog in those 4-5 years though.
It's always hard to see those pets and hunting pals when they pass.

it's heartbreaking to have to put an animal we love down. i have had to do it on several occasions as well. but it's many times the most loving thing we can do for an animal we care about and love.

i have lots of love for my animals and yes, i shed a lot tears when i lose one. i wasn't ever able to have children, so my furry family members are like my children.

So we didn't get the puppy that we looked. My wife found another on craigslist that we did get. He's a german shepherd/Labrador mix. So he is loving the kids and is already showing signs of be jng house trained. Born December 28 so he's eight weeks old. I'm already getting attached. This is our first dog as a family. My daughter is a 7 and my son is 3. They are loving having a dog.

Congratulations. Very cute puppy. And your kids are a good age to really enjoy a dog. Have fun and I hope you all have many years together.
