Had me a nice day at the range. A little 20 yard target practice...
The holes circled with a Sharpie were rapid fire.
Met an older gent there with a pretty slick American Tactical 1911 and an old Weatherby .22 rifle. We swapped guns around for a few rounds, had some good conversation. He usually frequents the local outdoor range, but we ended up sharing the indoor range because of the weather.
I'll never go there again. It costs more, targets aren't provided, and IMO, the ventilation is sorely inadequate. The local outdoor range is 10 bucks per day, all the targets you can mutilate, plus a 200 or 250 yard rifle range (can't remember which), a rimfire/pistol caliber carbine/rifle range going up to 50 yards (of course you can shoot those on the centerfire rifle range too), and a 50 yard pistol range with standard targets at 7, 15, 25, and 50, reactive targets, and plates. Seems like a good deal. And on the way out, you can stop by the local RC airfield and watch the guys do loops with their toy helicopters.
The outdoor range also has shotgun, a three stage course they're calling a turkey shoot, and the SD's equestrian training ground, and an archery range.
Plus, what appears to be a pretty extensive clubhouse/shooter's lounge that was closed so I didn't get to check it out.
Oh, here's my target. I made more holes after these 20 yard shoots (I wouldn't call them groups...)
