Well actually, yeah, one of my fondest hunting memories was on about as cold a day as you can imagine, in Oklahoma anyway. My son, who was only a young boy at the time, and I came up over the dam of our pond and had a hay day with some Canadian Geese that had decided to camp out there. We got our limit but unfortunately they were all out in the middle of the pond which was completely frozen over except for a small area they had kept open. So.... we had to go back to the house and get the john boat to get the geese. It was about 3 degrees out.... We had to break ice to get the boat in the water. It wasn't easy I'll tell ya. We break ice and keep breaking it to get to the open spot where the geese are at. Ok, didn't work so well. About half way out the ice knocked a hole in the boat and it starts sinking (those john boats are plastic). BUT, I was determined to get the geese so we soldiered on and picked them all up. By this time we're in the middle of the pond and the boat is riding pretty d*** low in the water but I knew we'd make it back (the boats are filled with styrofoam) and we did. To this day it's one of our favorite stories to tell and we sure did eat good for awhile.... Would I do the same thing now? HELL no!

I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

My best hunting memory, my grandfather and I had ice forming on our fingers while collecting duck decoys. We didn't kill a single duck. But it was one of the best days of my life.

Ive accepted the fact that cold weather makes the environment around here, and so I live with it. The great thing about the cold is that is sure keeps the Californians away!
That's a definite plus!

Look what the hurricane brought!

Those were taken at around 8 and the snow was at about 6 1/2 inches. It's about 8 1/2, maybe 9 by now.
