Can't tell you how many people got hit and went out cold only to get up face down in the cold muddy water....LOL
That would give an old guy like me a heart attack

My joints are worn out mostly. I snap, crackle, and pop all day every day. I sound like a bag of popcorn getting out of bed. There are motions that I simply can't do (I find a way around those), like the fact that I can't lift my right arm higher than my shoulder. If I'm not careful, my left leg will turn sideways at the knee and I have to straighten it manually. Arthritis in my spine. Hip problems out the wazoo.

I'm only 28.

But on the plus side, I haven't gotten any worse since I got out of the Marines. Except the arthritis, that's a recent event.
Trip, I know some folks that drink cherry concentrate and say it helps with their arthritis. It also helps with sleep which is why I'm going to try it.

That I completely understand. Im 34, and up until a few years ago I felt like I was 60+.

I had serious shoulder and elbow problems from something that happened to me when I was in my twenties, and my back was really bad. But then I started eating better. I stopped eating the foods with stuff in them that would make them outlast cockroaches and watched my diet, started really watching how much I drink (booze is horrible for your bones, cartilage and joints), and started using turmeric and upped my vitamin D intake. I now feel like Im my actual age most days. Though there is still pain and a lot of cracking on some days. But so much better than before.

Ive since convinced my brother to do some of the things I do, and he too is feeling much better.

I just filled up today for 3.30 per gallon.

Guys (gals really) thanks for the tips. My biggest vice right now is fatty foods, which I'm cutting back slowly (man I love cheeseburgers), and smoking, which I've already cut down drastically, my next reduction will be quitting altogether. I've gone from 2 packs a day to less than half a pack in the past year, and that's with the undue stress of a divorce and custody fight.

I'm trying to follow Cinder's example. She eats mostly fruits, veggies, and seafood it seems, staying away from most processed junk and carbs. This is simply healthier than my current habits, and it will make her stay more comfortable when she visits in a couple of months. I simply can't do shellfish though. I get horribly sick.

Refined sugars and refined carbs are some of the worst things for you. Also your body digests fructose with fiber which is why fruit is good but fruit juice is not.

If anyone is interested. I know it's long but it's definitely enlightening.

Trip is younger than you I just have to tease him about being old.
I actually have a friend who gets better mileage in his f350 super duty while pulling a trailer full of horses, than he does when he's just driving the truck.
