We're there.
I "turned the page"
With my all time favorite.
And for the record, I LOVE the Seger AND the Metallica versions.

I've played that song on stage so many times I could do it my sleep. We played it a little different every time.... Fun fun song to play...

Me and some friends used to sing it all the time on patrols.

Later, they started a band. Being a bit shy (in person), and not being a guitarist, drummer or bassist, I stayed out of that foray. Unless they asked me to sing THAT one. I don't care who's watching, I'll belt that song out any day of the week like my life depends on it, and twice on Sunday if asked.

It's the only way to get me to do karaoke.

Yeah that song is definitely a crowd pleaser. Every time you pull that one out, everybody will be singing along. It's almost as popular as the ALL TIME favorite, Sweet Home Alabama. The only song I can't stand to play anymore.

I spent many hours driving a truck cross country for a racing team playing that song (among others) and it really resonated with me.

On one trip my driving partner had just purchased the new Guns N Roses album and had been playing it non-stop from the beginning of his driving stint in Sacramento headed east. We stopped in eastern Nevada to change drivers, as I got in, adjusted the seat and all, put it in gear, punched the eject button, tossed the tape out the window and put the hammer down.

That was in 1988 and I still detest Guns N Roses to this day.

I wish there were mountains and hills like that around here. They're beautiful.

We have a LOT of forest and lakes around here, but it's pretty flat.
