This is a Goliath birdeater. It is the largest spider in the world (leg span of up to 12"). They are relatively harmless to humans (bits is similar to wasp sting, and hairs will act as a irritant), but I would still be tempted to throw live grenades at it.

Don't worry, the camel spiders are only in deserts (Middle east and Asia), and the Goliath Birdeater is only in the rainforests of South America. This is one of the many reasons why I don't want to go to any of those places.
