They are incredible, if only I had an attachment for my telescope.. I miss the stars since I moved into the city, there's that much light pollution I can hardly see the moon!

+1 Just stunning, doc.
Remembering the times I've stayed up the country, the milky way was a band of brilliance. Saw 5 meteorites fall in one night, that was pretty spectacular!
Not surprised you miss it, Aus.

Took these photos tonight while showing my son the planetary alignment. The first is from my house, You can see the moon and Venus.
2nd Good shot of the moon, you can see the dark side just slightly due to Earth shine,tThe sun is bouncing off the Pacific Ocean and shines back up onto the moon.
3rd. The moon was setting over the Pacific. The orange haze is from the ocean fog.
4th The Astoria Bridge during sunset.
5th. The Astoria column at night. My boy is the little yellow thing.
