Anyone know what these little buggers are?



I saw a ton of them swimming in the shallows of the lake last time I went fishing, managed to scoop one out of the water. I get that they're some kind of newt/salamander thing, but have no clue what they are.

Not sure of their scientific name, but to me I would hook em through the lips with a split shot bout six inches from hook and called em BAIT.
