bought a Hi Point carbine at a pawn shop yesterday. I took it out & shot it right away but didn't take any range pics since the wind was blowing close to 30mph. shooting from a standing position the wind was swaying me quite a bit. I will have to give it a more thorough accuracy test on a nicer day but overall it performed very well.

man this thing is tiny, 31" total length. by comparison, it's 5 inches shorter than my Volunteer Commando which also has a 16 inch barrel. did my first attempt at coloring the lettering, came out pretty good. might give it one more coat of the wife's nail polish & wipe it down again.

Default gong test

Test my gong on Saturday. 200 mm x 10 mm made by a local friend.
Material: Bennox.
A is 4 out of five shots with my 7 mm Tombi and B is 4 out of seven shots with my .308 Howa Varminter.
Distance: 350 meters.
Both rifles are zeroed at 100 meters. For the Tombi, I had to go 5 MOA up and for the 308, 6 MOA up. I use Nikon Mornarch's, 5-20x44.

I spent the day here on business, CG Air Station, Clearwater. Love the Herkies. This one's been in service since 1973.

Also one of my favorites and a workhorse for sure.

My 3rd favorite aircraft to make parachutes jumps from.

My daughter's contribution to my Grandkid pool. I hope some of them get into guns.

Gun confiscation will not happen in my lifetime.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." Any chance if I'm up your way I could get a ride? I always wanted to ride in a crop duster. Then again they are only single seaters, aren't they?
