Survival supplies in my basement. I think there are a little over 300 of what we used to call "Airplane Bottles".

Yes is it. I spent a year from 8/67 to 8/68 at Korat Air Base Thailand. I was munitions maintenance and my job was to load the munitions that was going to fly the next day on trailers and then when they called for a load (coded of course) we would pull it to the correct Thud so the weapons guys could load it on the aircraft. 105's were also flown out of Takhli Air base Thailand. The Thunderchief wasn't much in a dogfight but they could run like a bat out of hell. I don't know how many Aircraft we lost the year I was there but it was a lot. They always flew in flights of two or four and would usually meet up with a flight of F4's that would fly Mig cap for them while they made their bombing runs. When a single plane or a flight of three came back and you watched them circle the airfield before landing it just made you sick. They were flying 2 or 3 missions a day and maintenance suffered. I saw at least 10 go down either on landing or take off and those plane didn't have the ejection seat to shoot the pilot high enough for the chute to work. The ones I saw punch out were still in their seats when they hit the ground. I have tons of respect for that aircraft that did things it wasn't designed to do and the hero's that flew them. That might have been tmi but thanks for asking.

I was out tracking this guy flying over a frozen lake about a month ago:

And then it happened. Right into the sun he flew. Yowza, that was bright

And then he did it again!

I think I'll stick to birds in the water from now on.

He could give lessons to celebrities on how to dodge the paparazzi.
