We have had some cold temps here in Missouri,this morning we started out a -3 below zero,and looks like more snow expected for Saturday and Sunday with temps dropping to -11 below zero Sunday night.
These types of weather conditions really make me appreciative of our Wood Chuck wood furnace,it generally takes 5-6 pickup loads per winter which equates to 250-300.00 for the whole winter's heating bill.
With the wood chuck it's a shorts and t-shirt kind of winter.
In the area for some late season deer hunting, stopped and snapped this picture:
While I have no love for the pair and think they pretty much got what they deserved, I hate to see the marker defaced like it is. Some folks just have no sense of history.
It reminds me of when I lived in the northeast and you would see stories of kids burning down covered bridges for S & G's.
