Not knowing where else to post photos of my visit to Balota and his family, I will just continue here. Balota had a house full of people and we had some good fun. Lots of helping each other out and rediscovering the meaning of "family".
Here's my favorite little buddy. He and I had a lot of laughs. He has soulful eyes, is quick to laugh and is very sweet natured. And his hair.......? Beautiful color of subtle red. Let's just say his is natural and mine may or may not be.
The two year old granddaughter. Overly tired and being rocked to sleep by Balota's BIL. I do believe the child may have fallen asleep in that position, but I'm not sure.
This little girl was beyond tired. LOL
Balota and the youngest grandchild catching a nap. They are both so cute.
Balota's daughter with her two beautiful babies. She was so welcoming to me and I appreciated it. It was tough walking into a house full of people I didn't know. And she let me hold her baby all I wanted. It was wonderful to snuggle and smooch a baby. It's been a while for me.
And last but definitely not least, Balota's handsome son. He was intelligent, interesting and very eager to help me along as I floundered in a kitchen I wasn't familiar with. He let me fondle his guns and took my teasing very well. Like any man, he has ignoring someone annoying down to a science. LOL
And speaking of floundering in a kitchen. I noticed Balota opening an closing drawers in his very own kitchen. I asked him what he was looking for. He said he was looking for potholders. I showed him which drawer they were in. Apparently he doesn't cook much.
