Here is some undisturbed underbrush, foliage and heavy plant density. The first pic has a boar trail. As I stated yesterday, we hunters remove the brush ourselves around the hunting seats. Or, the elves did not get to this area yet.

My Springer M6 Scout.
This gun is no longer commercially made.
I think I paid somewhere around $200 for it many years ago and online they are going for up to $800.

Nice little emergency 410/22 LR rifle and I added a paracord grip which really helped.

I remember seeing these in magazines as a kid. Even then they seemed pretty cheap. Wish I'd asked for one for Christmas.

But in the meantime, for your viewing pleasure, out in the woods I came across Treebeard out for a stroll:

Actually I have other pics from today's hike. Will post on Saturday. I hiked in stormy weather, so the mountain shots are pretty cool. The shot of the raven was a rarity.with the grey rain clouds in the background. Almost looks like a drawing.

Anna, not only are you lucky to have survived the encounter...but you are very fortunate to have gotten him to stand still long enough to capture the photo!
