Yes, We do have areas of woods that are free of brush. Also, We remove them around the stands. I will try to take pics of dense forests today.We have lots of thorn bushes and stinging plants in Germany. You have to stay on trails at times.

Dang. Some of our forests are so thick, I have seen dead trees 'floating' in the air, and being held up by the trees next to them by tangled branches etc. I am not sure what ever happened to the trunks, its kind of neat in a way.
this is a typic forest up here
