I agree. When I was a kid there was an old bullnose Cab-Over truck parked in an abandoned apple orchard where we used to spend our summers in Mendocino. I have no idea what make it was or anything but that old hulk has always been in the back of my head as a project I would like to do one day. I have some friends who are deeply into these sorts of art cars, and I think this would be a project I could get my feet wet with.

Now I need to go up to Mendocino and look into that old truck from my childhood!

Randy Grubb is one of the guys I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years who inspires this in me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-bkq0CSzjQ#t=255

I had one walk into the wheelhouse on my boat one time. Luckily he just looked at me, looked down to the lower salon, turned around and walked back out.
I was just glad he didn't come any further into the boat or go down the stairs.
Can you imagine trying to vet a scared, 4 foot tall bird out of a boat? There would have been huge piles of heron crap everywhere.

Not to mention that their beak is a pretty formidable weapon!

If you and JW are up this way I can arrange a tasting at least and maybe a tour of the place if you are interested. They have some vineyards a bit south of here where I will go turkey hunting here soon. I love it when I drop by to say hi and they pour a glass of (really good) wine.

One thing I could never figure out Jager, is where is all the dead underbrush under all your forest pics? I never see any logs or branches or whatever on the ground, just leaves. ?????

Some of the places I have hunted looks almost like those pics from Mount St Helens where all the trees are laying all over like lincoln logs or pick-up stix
