Itty-bitty birdshot?

Traded my SKS for a 12 gauge, the picture of my hand is the very first time I disassembled the gun......before I ever fired a single round through it. All the parts are from the same time period. To think, I was going to call him back and tell him that the 300 rounds of ammunition I gave him is corrosive.

A few months back I bought an old New Haven (Mossberg) shotty. It didn't look like it had ever been cleaned, and had saw some decently heavy use over the years. It took me a while to get everything cleaned, and then reoiled. It looked a lot like yours does. Hoppes No. 9 is your friend in situations like this.

I don't think I've ever used hoppes at all, I've only used the stuff that came with my cleaning kit, which is otters gun oil and otters gun solvent. It came out looking pretty good too. Looked around and it turns out I got a fairly good deal. The shot gun is a Mossberg 590 mariner chambered in 3".

That's a pretty good deal here too. SKS's are pretty cheap for you guys, aren't they? I know SVTs are.

I bought my SKS, 1000rds and a single rifle Safari case for $700.00, so yes, yes they are. I think the most expensive I've seen an SVT for sale here was around $600.xx or so.

Your SKS prices are similar to ours then. ($300-$400 at the cheapest for some SKSs, $250 for 1000 rds)

Our SVTs are around a $1000+ now.
