We see those a lot around here. I always dodge to miss them when they're crossing the road.

I love it, it goes places trucks can only dream about.

I hate asbestos siding. It cracks easily, you have to predrill every hole, and if you ingest any fibers, they will be in your body FOREVER. It has become uncommon, but I still run into it once every couple of years.

The house I grew up in had that for siding. My Dad tore it off and put vinyl on. He still coughs, hacks, and gags when he ingests any kind of dust.

A lot of people think it's just a marketing tool that Chrysler slaps on their jeeps. It's not. Trail rating comes from an independent third party who does off road testing, I believe in Nevada. Truth is, the trail rated patriot they tested was near unusable by the time they got done with it, but it passed. For the record, the trail rated wranglers didn't fair that much better, but they didn't have to be trailered off the property. They're the only consumer vehicles to pass, so far. The testing is extremely tough. And yes, Ford and Chevy have sent vehicles to the same proving grounds. The Ford raptor failed miserably.

I was aware of the testing for trail ratings. I've never seen the articles with the after reports though and I didn't know that about the patriot. The patriot is much smaller than the liberty and has less clearance, so I'm not surprised it was almost unusable by the end. I'd bet the liberty did almost as good as the wrangler. Where'd you find those articles? I'd love to read up on them.
