That Thunderbolt 22lr ammo is not very good for your gun. It's not jacketed, so it lead fouls your barrel very quickly. I used some at the range the other day. After about 60 rounds it started shooting 4-6 inches low (at 10 yards with a pistol) and keyholing. The bullet uses most of its energy trying to squeeze through the partially obstructed barrel and does not have the muzzle velocity to stay on trajectory. The bullet tumbles and hits the paper sideways more often than straight. If you have to use it, clean your barrel aggressively after 30-40 rounds with a solvent that's designed for lead fouling.

friggin awesome. I saw them live about 5 years ago, unbelievably great live. got to meet Mike Ness afterwards & get an autograph, very mellow low key guy. Also rather short, like 5'6" or so, he looked pretty tall on stage from the front row.

Ive never had problems with thunderbolt out of any of my .22lr, I shoot lead rounds almost exclusively out of my sons 10/22. But thanks for the heads up.

it's a 1906 Enfield Mk 1. #1. it was sporterized long before I was born so I decided to try to do something different to it. the butt stock is actually for a Remington 870. I was gonna do a collapsible AR style stock but couldn't find one cheap enough that I wanted to gamble on ruining just to find out if it worked or not . Now that I know it will work I still might try that if I come across a deal on a used one.

so far, no angry comments...so maybe it's not so bad
