I just didn't want alloy at the time because I had big dreams of putting thousands of rounds per month through it. As it is, I would've been just fine with an alloy frame... I've had my 1911 for about a year and a half and only about 2K rounds, maybe.
I would've probably been ok with the alloy frame, but since my para ordnance p14-45 is a alloy frame I was wanting a steel frame this time. I'm also a big Springer fan and really like their 1911s,they are a top notch company with some of the best firearms on the market. Maybe one day I'll be fortunate enough to add a Springer.

I just can't get enough of the 1911s lately, there are a lot companies making so many fine 1911s at the present time,it's hard to decide at times
