Try the Smithsonian in DC and it's annex at Dulles, also Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.
When I was an active corporate pilot, I visited every aviation museum I came across and have hundreds of pix from them.
When I was active in the (then) Confederate Air Force in the 70's and 80's, I used to bum stick time in every thing I could. Fun times.
