don't know what it is about mesquite but every time I eat something cooked with mesquite I get sicker than a dog.

How did that fit the hook in it's mouth?

This little guy (I could see him where I dropped line from the boat) just wouldn't leave my bait alone and about the 10th time I pulled my line out of the water his mouth must have been in the wrong place at the wrong time and he actually got hooked. It was the only damn thing I caught all day. (With exception to a buzz!)

That's too funny! I could see the bigger fish and every time I dropped my line in these little buggers kept going after it. You definitely have me beat. Haha

Yup same scenario...big fish visible on the bottom and these small guys that wouldn't leave the bait alone.

You'd think the big guys would bully the little guys out of the way. Hubby even tried distracting the little guys for me. Didn't work.
