I had considered doing a video but I don't have a helmet cam (wasn't wearing a helmet anyhow) and I need both hands. Also, it took several hours all told. Makes for boring video. Though I have to tell you, handling that 18 foot by 38 foot antenna that weighs nearly 70 pounds and wrestling to free of the tower (without damaging it) took every bit of my concentration, strength and no small amount of balls (if I do say so myself). My oldest son was up there with me too. I took the pics we have, so that's why you don't see both of us in the ones posted. I wish that I had a couple with me all the way up at the tip with my son just below me. That was when it was the scariest. The antenna was held on with a couple of U-bolts and they would not let it free so I had to get a hammer to beat and pry them loose, all while being careful not to drop the hammer on my sons and my buddy! (Though all of the tools were held by lanyards- it is still a good idea to keep them in hand.)
I meant the video like the one described by Hockalouis in the Random Thoughts Thread, #25954.

That's a cool video. I've never done radio towers. But I have climbed a number of flare stacks. 250-500 ft range. Nowhere near as open as that safe-t-climb system on the tower. Displacement at the top isn't as much either, I think. Worst displacement I think was around 1-2 feet off center.

I don't think you need to worry about me setting you on fire. I only do that to things that really deserve it, usually already dead wood

I'd see how fast it can scurry away from being shelled with .22's Then set fire to it!
