I wish I had a wide angle lens on my phone...

I tried to capture this the right way.

Notice the focal point is the garbage can. The building on the left is the location of the gun show this weekend. The building on the right is the jail.

Just thought that was interesting.

Fixing up the range today. added a camo net over the shooting benches (it was 95 degrees earlier). mowed around the whole area and fixed up the targets (some are up at the shp to be welded).

And here is a shot of my weather screen- on the right you see the outside temperature and humidity on the porch in the shade, in the middle is inside the house and on the bottom is out by the garden on a post in the sun but with a radiation shield on it. we use a swamp cooler to cool the house down. it works great seeng as we get a solid 15 degree drop in temperature.

Technically By County Laws-Yes as long as you have a safe & secure "backstop"(I have a security wall that varies from 12' to 16' High.) My HOA doesn't permit it(but nothing says you can't in the by-laws), but the 2 folks on either side of me aren't telling on me because they are also both in my Yard shooting their .22's with me! It's not like were shooting 6"&8" magnums! for the heavier stuff I have a "Trap Box" in my Workshop/Studio/Office, which used to be the Garage. I'm running for the HOA Board here and one of the things I'm trying to get added to the Zoned Planning for extension besides a Dog Run & Play Area is a Small Outdoor Range...as we have a lot of ret. Military and Ret. LE here...

Congrats, let me know how reliable the 9mm compact is. I've heard some unusual stories when the barrel gets 3" or less on 1911s in 9mm. I have a all steel Colt Officers that shoots exceedingly straight but is a 45. (As all 1911s were intended to be ). Can't go wrong w a Colt IMHO.

Yet with the cost of ammo, I might add one to my inventory as well. Or start reloading.

Coming into it in a bad way. 125 foot from where we need to be.

NOT a good thing.
