For some reason Mopars are allowed to be pink and purple, probably because I'm pretty sure they were stock colors

you would be correct! Mopar used some really crazy colors in the late 60's and early 70's.

i'd drive the wheels off that Panther Pink Challenger!

If I had a Mopar it would be green or orange.

They were. Plum Crazy and Panther Pink.

Ford had pink cars back then, Playboy Pink and Dusk Rose. May have been others too.

I used to work at an Acura dealership and for awhile they had a color they called "Arab White". I would often comment "I can't recall having ever seen a white Arab." and once when I said that the General Manager (who was an unmitigated ass) said (dead seriously) "Vikingdad, I'm going to write you up for making a racist comment."

I replied that if he did he should write himself up for ignorance unbecoming of a GM as my comment was an observation, not a criticism or racism. Never said there was anything wrong with the name, it just didn't make sense to me.

Now, just to prove myself wrong (and to keep in the theme of the thread), here is a picture of a White Arab!

Cadillac at one time had a pink they called Dusty Rose IIRC. it was metallic shade of pink that was absolutely stunning in the sunlight.

Was it metal flake or pearl? Pearl makes more sense.
