Oh I know what that ships nickname is. All I can say is I can't fully comprehend what I experienced on that ship, but it was strange to say the least.

my wife watches one of those ghost hunter programs, can't remember which one, but one of them did a study for ghosts onboard the USS Lexington a while back. she was telling me about it when we were on the ship.

I feel like that's like one of the guys I work with telling me he wondered if someone died in the truck that I was detailing. He said "that happens, you know." Could your timing have been any worse? "well when did you want me to tell you?" Never! Never would have been a good time to tell me that!

I'm not jealous. My first car I had bought was a Renault Le Car. One year it was frozen to the pavement and I had to use hot water and move it real quick! It was a 3-cylinder and would never defrost.

I've been on that ship. You never really appreciate how big an aircraft carrier is until you actually see one in person.

Never experienced any paranormal activity though. IIRC, there was something about a ghost giving a complete tour for some people, then disappearing. Now that would have been awesome.

Have you ever seen the USS Texas at San Jacinto State Park? That is an awesome ship. They even have the AA guns set up where visitors can get onto them, and actually move them around.

This is one of ten 3" AA guns on the USS Texas.

Here's a some of the 40mm guns.

They also had a few 5" guns, and a lot of 20mm guns in addition to their 14" guns

The stairs on this ship are beyond steep, so you really have to watch your step.
