You need to have that removed. Blood poisoning can cause heart attacks.

I pulled it out right away, and if I wouldn't have been able to get it out, I think I would've cut my thumb off it hurt so damn bad.

Imagine bamboo slivers purposely tapped under your finger nails. Pretty standard torture technique.

And the seventh picture is awesome. When I was young, my Dad was a door to door delivery man for Bowman milk. In the summer I would sometimes go with him on his route. Our first stop would be the dairy where my Dad would load crates and crates of glass millk containers, butter, cottage cheese. Then he'd go to the ice house and with huge tongs throw on big blocks of ice. The floor of the truck was wooden and it would always be water soaked. When I'd ride the route with him he'd always load on some chocolate milk. Memories............
Winds, first off, sorry i didn't get back to you on this sooner.Spending way too much time trying to settle probate on my grandfather's estate, small as it is.

What you are looking at in picture 4 is a view from the trucker's lounge and shower area, which overlooks the trucker store in the lower level. It is big enough to house 3 custom semis, and a custom 53 foot trailer and all of the goods in said store. You're welcome on the memories, and i thank you for sharing. It's pretty cool to hear about how things wee done back then, especially when it is from someone who has memories of it from their own childhood. You never know, your dad may have seen that truck at work, or may have driven it himself at some point. i think that would be pretty cool to say the least.

The trip to the destination can offer many interesting things to see and experience. Men......
Not all men are like that. I have ridden down to DC every Memorial day for the last 5 years with a group of my brothers of the road. We always stop to see something different on the way down, and on the way back up. Those of us who ride motorcycles know that is not about the destination. It's about the journey along the way. And believe me, every year so far has had at least 1 Wow! moment. On the last one, my wife and I had a bald eagle take off from where it was dinning in the middle of our lane, and fly so close to the Harley that it blocked our view for a couple seconds. i never knew they were so big! Something i will never forget, and I will always cherish that memory.

Cool! I saw that picture while I was there. I'll have to let my sister know. That was a stop on their cross country move, where I was the driver of their RV. I told them there were 2 required stops on this trip. The Iowa 80 truck stop, and the Cabela's in Sydney Nebraska.
