We get shipments at work from Turkey, India, Italy, Germany, and China so it may be something that’s done some traveling to get here. I duknow. I do know that if it jumps on me I will kill it.[/QUOTE]

or it will kill you, sometimes the black widow turns up here in Belgium
Antwerp harbour is a stop for U.S Army vehicles on their way to Iraq, some managed to survive the trip over here, they won't survive in this climate ,that one looks scary

I took this at a rest area yesterday, had to go but wouldn't you know it the restrooms were closed for maintenance so I grabbed my camera and some toilet paper and hiked about a quarter mile behind the place and it was beautiful (the scenery)

My buddy was at work at the Port of Long Beach when they got a shipment of fruit in from Brazil. Inside one of the crates was a large spider. They stuck it in a spare aquarium in their office while they tried to figure out what it was. Turned out to be a type of Brazilian Walking Spider, the most dangerous one. They named it "Peligro".

I suggest you send your photos to ISU entomology department. It doesn't look like anything I've seen in this part of the state. Here's a link...

The desert???

Contrary to what Al Gore has been preaching, the desert has not reached us.

Now he might be able to take it out to a hog lot or frozen corn field.
