One of the many machines I get to play with at work. A logging truck full of logs is only about 2/3 the capacity of the fork head. It could literally pick up most houses and drive away.

Cool. But it would scratch the paint, right?

Yeah....all of our stuff gets used pretty hard. We broke our Cat 988G loader in half. Cat told us it wasn't meant to haul 60,000 pounds worth of logs back and forth over a rough, rutted, muddy logyard 24 hours a day 5 days a week.
In our Vat room we used to Wear out a Cat 928 loader every 2 years. 4 years ago we bought a Komatsu and haven't looked back.

Hey I love me a cat, but them Komatsu's are great machines and they sure do last a long time and man they can take a beating.

I ran a little Komatsu fine grade dozer for a while. Stupid Off road dump driver didn't stop and dumped a load right on the hood before I could get it out of the way. Didn't even phase it she just motored back and kept right on going.

Took this last night on my way home. Couldn't resist the urge to save this sunset. This is just a block from my place.
