I have used many boyds stocks to het rid of the plasticool junk that come on alot, or just to fix a beat to hell stock an every one of the boyds have been great, very good fit an finish, I have never had to remove any materisl to get them to fit. I have removed some in the barrel channels to float them but thats all.

yeah it fit great. i had to sand about 0.001 from the main screw hole for my screw to slide in but other than that it was perfect... first i need another rifle, m60 or a 10/22. then i'll be adding another boyds stock in blue.
