No ...studying to be a Gen 2 judge at the T/A Nats next Aug. I go every year anyway with a friend of mine that has a 73 Formula, and a rare Green 74 4spd Formula with the SD455. I was invited to take the test to be a judge next year..they have a hard time finding qualified people to judge...that dont have a car of their own in the show.

many years ago, i rebuilt a 1980 Formula with a 455 Pontiac engine and a TH400 transmission. used a T/A hood and shaker hood scoop and only had the rear spoiler and and fender extractors. mine was the silver metallic with a red velour interior. when we repainted the hood to match the car, i decided not to add the bird decal to it. ordered the small "Formula" decal that we placed on the LH front corner of the hood. engine was "tweaked" just a bit! aluminum intake and Holley spreadbore carburetor, headers and dual exhaust with turbo mufflers and the T/A chrome splitter tips in the rear. replaced the factory steel Rally rims with the 15x8 snowflake rims with 60 series tires. did some suspension upgrades as well.

it looked almost like a Trans-Am without the fender flares and had the "Formula" decals on it. it was a pretty sweet car, that ran great and handled great.

A Brand New 78 T/A...All the right stuff. SE / Y82 / W72 / WS6 / T-Top / 4spd car.....It has the HURST T-Tops, which makes it xtra rare. They were only available the first 3 months that model year.

I remember when that was "the"car to have. I also remember beating up my neighbor when he tried to steal my Hotwheels match box Firebird! Nice ride...
