You are allowed to post reviews and contact info for other people's work, just no your own. That's known as shilling, and we don't allow it.

I dabbled with it for a while when I smoked. I had a nice briar that was well seasoned and some novelty meerschaums. I kept running into a problem with my tobacco drying out on me offshore. I started putting thin slices of apple in my backy pouch to add moisture and it seemed to work pretty good with the added bonus of a sweet taste.

Had my reply to this thread bout finished when this computer decided it wasn't happy.
Lost what I had written before I could post.
I know what my first target will be when I pick up my 10/22Lazer next week.
This laptop, a Samsung with windows 8.
not happy with the computer, HATE windows 8.

Try again
smoked a pipe for years.
Favorite tobacco was "Plumcake" A British tobacco.
had to give up the pipe.
Went to cigars.
Smoked cigars for years
till the doctor told me,
You have a choice,
"Smoke or Breath"

A memory.
one day at work.
this was many years ago.
Saw a guy going by my machine riding on a tug.
Looked familiar,
he was smoking a pipe.
Damn I said.
That's "Joe Cobb"
Google the name.
They stopped at the coffee machine.
I went over and said "hey'
We talked and I offered him some of my tobacco.
After that every time he was in my building he stopped by to say hi.
I would buy an extra pouch of "Captain Black Gold Label" and give it to him
A Great Guy he was.

Please excuse the large type,
Not Shouting
Bad eyes.

Well, my buddy from the Marines has been busy and didn't get my message I sent him.

He is still making pipes, but doesn't want to take any commissioned orders. Simply whatever he decides to make, he'll be putting it up for sale.

Now...it's a turn of phrase I guess...one that always makes me kinda cringe for some some reason...but he... "wants to express his own artistry."

So... I'm in touch with him again, and I'll be trying to get a line on whatever he may have available.

Love the smell of pipe tobacco. I always move in closer to have a good smell. I think it's quite cool seeing the puff puff. Last guy I saw was at a Folk Festival and he had a straight pipe, and he was probably 60yrs old. We talked...about the pipe! lol!

Heard back from my guy again. He just got back from another stint at sea with the coast guard, and has nothing for sale right now.

I don't have a beard and my hair is going fast. I have always enjoyed a good pipe. I like the old Canadian style pipes. My tobacco is the Highland Whiskey Blend from the TinderBox.
