Default Pig hunting tonight

Going hog huntin' tonight at my new place. Lots of sign everywhere.

The question is..... .223 or .308? Hmmm decisions, decisions.

How close will you be to them?

Rather have ENOUGH gun, than "dang, I wish that was a better shot"

Sounds like fun though - make sure to post pics

Should be a shot of no longer than 150 yards. I know most of the pigs are smaller 30 or 40 pounders, where the .223 should be fine. But, in the event of Boss Hog coming along and I'm undergunned .....and I've seen trace of a Boss Hog, so I better take the SOCOM just in case of a big one and aim for the head if I'm gonna shoot a little one....because the little ones, we'll eat.

Sounds like a good time! Can we all plan on an FTF bacon fry in the near future?

Not tonight. Stayed until dark, just got back. Couldn't see any more. LOTS of deer, though. Will try again tomorrow night I hope.

Still a better night then what I had. I spent two hours on a riding mower and have weed eating to look forward to tomorrow night.
