I think that there are many in SF that would still attempt to conceal o.O

S**t...for all I know they could have charged me $158 instead of $10.58...end of rant.
I always ask for the receipt. I look at it as soon as I leave the line-up and usually toss it in the garbage after I have confirmed the amount.

The ones I like are the mature ladies who stand there for 5 minutes while their groceries - or whatever - are scanned and rung up and bagged and then, only after being presented with the amount, open up their suitcase purse, pull out a second purse and then start fishing to see what coins they might have to tender.

Do women not know ahead of that moment that they will have to pay? Is that why they wait until their stuff is bagged before getting the large purse off their shoulder and starting the search for coins and a wallet? Do they not remember that they need to pay after the cashier finishes scanning everything? Goldfish apparently have no short term memory, either.....

There used to be no laws against nudity in SF. Supervisor Scott Weiner (Ironic name, no?) recently passed legislation restricting public nudity to some named beaches and some public festivals and fairs (SF Pride, Bay To Breakers, Folsom Street Fair and "Up Your Alley" on Dore are the ones I know about) They were trying to pass a law requiring nudists to place a towel on their chair when eating in a restaurant. Personally I have never seen anyone nude in a restaurant, but I do not eat in SF restaurants. Been to exactly one in the past 10 years or so. Generally I do my work there and get the Hell out.

This thread has taken a few left turns but I'm still glued to it, do people really just walk around with their junk flopping around? And then really expect to be served at restaurants? I would be willing to bet there is some health code violation in that.

Certain parts of the city are a bit out there.

I thought the earlier posters were joking. Does this stuff seriously happen...out in public places,....with children around?
