Wow!

We don't have fences either WOC, I torn down the wire fence that was in my yard when I bought the house. The last thing I want is something else to mow and weedeat around.

I got nothin but 700 yards of corn behind my house...

Thunderstorms here in NH so I can't see it to night. Maybe tomorrow if the weather is better.

I live in an old town. Our 'blocks' are not two strips of houses back to back. Our 'block' is like this......../_/ sort of (except not lopsided). There are 5 houses along that 'bottom stretch' of the block. Mine is smack dab in the middle of that bottom line. There is a large stretch of land behind my house where all the back yards meet. When the neighborhood was filled with young families with kids, the kids would all play in everyone's yard back there. No one complained. It was wonderful raising kids where I live. Not much turnover in this neighborhood. Now we are a bunch of 'oldies' who talk about our grandkids when we meet outside.

Here in CA they say it will peak at 0300. I have a lot of light pollution from the valley.

When I was a kid I went on a camping trip with a friend and his dad up in the Trinity National Forest in NorCal. We got lost and ended up camping out in the middle of nowhere, the meteors were so bright we couldn't get any sleep. This was back around 1976 or 1977. Several of them left trails that stayed lit up in the sky for hours after the meteor had passed by. They looked like comets.

Downsouth answered, sorry caught up watching. Got the kids and wife and watched from the trampoline(spelling). Seen quite a few. Tired! So I am off to bed.
Have fun and good luck!

I just got back in and didn't see anything. I was in an old, dark factory parking lot on the edge of town. I noticed there was another car there and I parked away from it but I kept an eye on it. After about 10 minutes I see a man walking towards my car. It turned out to be our night duty officer. We chatted about not seeing anything in the sky at all. I went back home.
