Hello all. Pengie here with a partial report.

Pengie arrived at General Dillinger's house and was immediately swept up in something called "Storm Duty".

This process involved Pengie, Dillinger and his driver Jason, spending over 22 straight hours driving around and looking at problems on the power grid and reporting them. Pengie was not allowed out of the vehicle. Neither was Jason. Jason would not pose with Pengie. Pengie in turn did something he should have done in Jason's coffee.

Pengie got to go into the EOC, which is some sort of command center. Pictures are NOT ALLOWED in the EOC for some reason. Pengie was taught about status monitoring and about pinging power meters to determine outage areas and about PEAK loading. Pengie's head hurt after that.

Once JD and Pengie got released, we did a lot of sleeping. Caffeine does little for the penguin system after being up for the better part of a day and a half.

Next day we slept. Then Pengie got to go to work with JD. Here Pengie is looking over a contract to insure that we get all the money we should. Pengie then signed it.

For lunch Pengie got a treat. We went to a sushi place and it was ALL PENGIE COULD EAT!! Pengie was like one of your kid's in a candy store. This is WAAAAYYYYY better than MRE's ( no offense Commander Scubie ).

Curious, it turns out that Sake Bombs don't go boom at all, except in your head. Pengie is now a fan of Sake Bombs and will be going back again please.

Tonight Pengie is getting a "surprise" and I also get to have some awake time around the Dillinger Compound.

Pengie reports more for you later!

Pengie Out!

I think Pengies next stop after this one needs to be Pasadena Recovery Center.

I don't find you funny Commander Tango. Pengie still knows where you sleep too.

Last night Pengie got to go by The Shop. Dillinger brought Pengie to the shop and took him around, showed him a few things. Pengie was not sure what to expect. Machines and stuff for making weapons. Lots and lots of parts.

Then Pengie got his surprise!!!

Pengie got to pick some weapons out for Pengie's own arsenal!

Here is picture of me with my new toys. JD says we are going boating this weekend and I should bring my weapons just in case. I am not sure why he winked at me when he said that?

Pengie got a couple of Sig pistols (9mm and .45), (2) M4's, a couple of sniper rifles, a grenade pistol, an M79 grenade launcher and my own SAW M249!!

Pengie is very happy! Pengie also has a small collection of smoke and flashbang grenades to try out. Heh heh heh - now where does Mr. Lon live again??

Today Pengie goes to The Dark Empire, but I am taking my Sig with me, just in case. Have to stay frosty and on top of things.

Pengie Out.

So last night Pengie got to be an un-official member of Microsoft and got to attend the closed shopping for MSFT employees at Costco.

Microsoft and Costco really brought out the fun. They had some Santa person, they had a full Bagpipe Band and the local Fire Department. In addition, there were a couple of local shops and restaurants that were there promoting theit stuff.

Pengie got to have some face time with Bobbin Robin. He's some large bird that represents Red Robin. We talked sauces and service. I think he is going to take some of Pengie's ideas back to corporate.

Then Pengie had a chance to roll in style in this Mercedes AMG edition off road vehicle. Not as cool as Commander Scubie's military stuff, but it's WAY more comfy.

A few aisles later, Pengie got to spend some time with Buzz Lightyear. We talked about his movies and getting an agent for Pengie. Buzz Lightyear is kind of a dick to be honest and Pengie wasn't impressed one bit.

Pengie got to do some rapping with Earl, the leader of the bagpipe crew. Earl has been playing the bagpipes for over 50 years and he is quite good. He said that Pengie probably would have trouble playing because of my arms, but I think he was just scared of me taking his job.

On the way out, Pengie and Mrs. JD talked to one of the leaders of Leway Car Club who was raffling off one of his cars. Pengie made like an auto model and did his best posing but really this is not his forte'

Afer check out, where the checker was "too busy" to have his picture taken with Pengie ( whatever ), we made our way outside where Pengie met Footloose the mascot from Northwest Trek.

Northwest Trek is an animal presevere here in JD's home state. Pengie and Footloose talked about doing some cross promotional fundraising to make sure Northwest Trek stays open. Footloose was cool and offered to let Pengie stay with him if Pengie comes back.

Next Pengie got to spend some time with Pierce County Fire and Rescue. These guys love pizza and Pengie loves Fire Trucks, so it was a pretty easy sell. Pengie got to spend some time on the truck and monitor the radio while the fireguys got to eat pizza and chill out. Pengie was on the scene and there was nothing to worry about, but dispatch called and Pengie talked them through re-tasking truck assignments based on availability.

After a tough couple of hours shopping and glad handing Pengie was hungry, so we all went a place called Famous Dave's BBQ.

Famous Dave should be famous for having crappy service, luke warm food, weak drinks and high prices. Pengie was NOT impressed with Famous Dave's offerings, but he did share some foo-foo drink with Mrs. JD. It was fun.

Pengie glad to see your having fun with JD and household 6. I still worry about you drinking so much man. You need to take it easy. You don't want to be all foggy if you gotta get frosty.
