Just had word from Scubie and Pengie. So far, so good. They are in "Indian Country" so info will be sparse. Pengie had fun with the flight crew on the way over. Don't know if they will have 'net access yet though.

Pengie, I think your primary duty at this point is to watch Scubie's back. Take care and my prayers are with you two.

Hi Guys,

Well Pengie and I are back in country and all is well, I tell you that little popcorn fart is a handful to keep in check. We spent a lot to time in travel status in theater as most of you know flights are not really on a schedule and subject to change up to take off roll. The mission was a complete success and we ended up training about 360 troops as Customs Border Clearance Agents. I’ll tell you this, if I never see a porta potty again I will be overjoyed.

Our itinerary for the trip was we flew from El Paso to Dulles airport in DC then caught a flight to Kuwait City, Kuwait. We stayed at Ali Asalem Air Base until we could catch a C-17 to Bagram AB, Afghanistan. We ended up being stuck in Bagram for three days due to mission flight delays then caught a spec-op flight to Kabul. From Kabul we flew to Mazar-e-Sharif where we held two classes for troops from the outer FOB’s. We ended up a couple of extra days until we could catch a flight back to Kabul. From Kabul we caught a flight to Kandahar AB and taught an extended class and late that night headed back to Kuwait. We spent a day in Kuwait and back to the good old US of A.

Here is a quick collage of Pengie on the trip we had a lot of pictures so I’ll post them a few at a time.

Scubie

2. Last beer until we return
3. That flight attendent is good looking... I mean the girl Tango!
4. Welcome to Kabul in Afghanistan
