A lot of people don't remember this one, most think 4 Jul '76 was the beginning of the "official" war.
I love this time of year and the 4Jul holiday. We tend to forget what those men gave up; they risked everything. Everything. If you want to feel small and grateful, do some research on what happened to the original signers of the Declaration. We owe them a lot more than what we are giving them these days. We need to tell our sons and daughters and pass that on to them.
