A thought just occurred to me. has this been going on for a long time? Like since he was weaned? (I assume they were being breast fed. Breast is best!)

Back at that time we worked very hard (well, I did. All my wife had to do was sleep. ) to get the kids to stop nursing at night. It took awhile but that was time well spent.

It doesn't sound like any of you are getting any decent sleep. If your Circadian rhythms are constantly disrupted, you will also see reduced performance during the day at work or trying to do anything mental. I would also advise that you and your wife trust your children with someone else and get out on your own at least once a week. The children have to get used to be separated from you when they go to school and school shouldn't be the first time.

It's funny what Winds brought up about the treats. Professional pet trainers say to always praise good behavior, but never give a treat more than once out of every six or ten times. A neighbor of mine trained her dog giving a treat every time and now the dog expects every answered command to come with food, and if he doesn't get it he pouts. Definitely want to limit the treats! If ten correct behaviors equal 30 minutes of X-Box, then the kids even learn about "earning" and saving for what they want.

8th grade class took an out of state field trip. A straight A, athlete boy, capt of his team is now expelled facing criminal charges and the girl that performed the particular sex act ON THE BUS is suspended claiming she was forced to do it. Friend's son was on the trip, and he hasn't said anything about the trip. Parents were not informed, but the information is running quickly through the community.

Our little angels can be challenging at times. I know my own kids are still a challenge, even as young adults. Sometimes I think they were dropped on their heads too many times.

Had a late night txt exchange with my friend. I did not directly tell her what had happened but asked her to ask her son why her son's classmates were suspended after the trip.

About 10 minutes later, I get this

OMG
OMG
OMG
OMFG

Apparently she believed her son would always tell her everything... guess what mom, welcome to my world

Apparently both are expelled, with the girl being the aggressor.

What a mess

If he is lucky he won't get tagged as a sex offender. Likely he will though. IMO the problem begins with peer pressure that is sparked and fueled by sex education at too young an age.

They were not boobie fed .
I can get her to go to bed , sometimes with a promised reward Sometimes I can even talk him into it but it quickly goes away .
Never seen anything like it . He is asleep , does not matter where but the instant he wakes up , and I mean with in a slplit second he is crying and pissed .
Nothing , I repeat nothing you can do or say at that point except tell him where mom is and off he runs .
Been talking and kinda looking into getting him to see someone .
Just I am extremely skeptical on these quacks .
Go to a specialist for bi-polar what r they going to say ? your bi-polar
Go to a therapist , you need x amount of therapy
Go to a oil change place - oh yea , you need a oil change
I half believe he would sleep outside if mom would sleep with him , I have been trying to make him miserable in our bed in hope he would get tired of me and go back to his

Non-parent here.

Get the boy a dog that will sleep on the foot of his bed and keep him company.

Alternatively, get a scary cat to sleep in your room to creep him out.

Well a bit of a update . It seem with in the past 2 weeks he has hit a whole new level of his fits and we are starting to look for some pro help . Even simple things that he may do by mistake and we tell him its ok he still goes off , even his tone has gotten more irate to the point where I just sit back and go wow . 5 seconds later he is ready to rock and happy as he can be .
Being 4.5 yo I think he is too young for any meds and I dont care for him to be doped anyway and with them starting pre-K in september we have to get something going on .
If he throws these fits in school they will suspend him .
From our own diagnosis he is very OCD and either can not or does not know how to handle negativity and when I try to talk to him calmly , just me and him , he will not listen or gets agitated .
Thing is , they dont have insurance right now so thats a problem as well .
THEE only thing I can think has changed and this goes to what Viking was saying is he has started eating these strawberry Ego waffles , and he craves anything strawberry minus the real thing . Thinking of stopping the waffles and see what happens

Slightly off topic , I have been looking for a alert system to let us know when they go out of the yard . We have right at 3ac and a big pond at our neighbors , now they know to stay away from the pond but they like to go over and see them or their little friend w/o telling us .
They will say they are going to grannies and 5 sec later they are down at the neighbors dog pens or playing the cul-de-sac . My girl went right up to a strange truck last night and starting talking to them
The only monitor I found is only good for 30ft and driveway sensors wont work for the entire perimeter , dog shock collars would work but ....

As a ret. Teacher, you now know why I don't have any of my own. 25+ years of Spec . Ed will make you love the kids, as long as they belong to someone else.
