My doctor asked me to try out a similar diet when he found my triglycerides to by around 800 and my LDL chloresterol over 200. He also got me to take 2400 mg's of fish oil capsules daily and limit myself to 2 beers or well drinks daily to help lower this high level of triglycerides. No wine for now due to high nitrates. I've been doing this routine for just over 5 months now and have lost about 17 lbs. My energy level is quite a bit higher also. I go in next week to have a blood sample taken and another lipid panel done to see if my triglycerides and chloresterol have lowered.
A good piece of glass is like a fine piece of ass. There is no known substitute known to man, and neither are cheap.
