I walked! Maybe 50 yards total. Man am I ever weak! Darn knees buckled several times but I didn't fall. Look for me later on the ask a drunk thread! :beer:

I think he needs less booze or beer and more bedrest. When you drink with an injury like that he won't know if he over did it until he wakes up,...stick with stronger pain killers for 10 days and bedrest until you start decreasing the pain meds,..then you can drink again. If you want to really get better thats what you should do...

They said it is vital that I do not bend, lift, or twist for the first two weeks. There is a specific process for lying down and getting up. I struggle with it sober, so I guess I better not go back to drinking beer just yet.
I'll make up for it later.

Dr. Bill, my remark was strictly tongue in cheek humor. it was only meant in jest to cheer him up.

being serious, he needs to follow the advice of his doctors, and yes, if they give him painkilllers, he needs to take them as needed.

i found out the hard way trying to work through injuries, by trying to tough it out without the painkillers.
