Default Oregon Requires DD-214 for CCW

I just discovered that when I renew my CCW license, the Sheriff's office is going to want to see my DD-214!! WTF!!

Apparently the Oregon Legislature has heard that there are some with Dis-honorables who have carry permits!

Sh -e-i-t!! What about those who never served in the military that have been fired for cause by their previous employer? What about those who have more than one speeding ticket? How about those who haven't seen their doctor in twenty five years and may be mentally incompetent? What about all those dangerous Conservatives and recently returning vets?

This is how it happens, one little infringement at a time with justification that sounds, OK!!

More bureaucratic BS. It's just another way to implement more restrictions. I plan on getting my CHL if we ever get to move there.
Now I'll have to rustle up a new copy of mine. It somehow got lost in my divorce.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”Samuel Adams
