Well I look at this way if such a situation occurs I want a couple of burrows. If you can still drive a vehicle on or off road so can the enemy. So any where you can drive to your toast.
Unless you think that silly Red Dawn movie comes close any where even close to any reality which it doesn't.
If your gonna survive you need to go where no motorized vehicle can go .Your concerns will come from there the air.
The first thing any force will do is set up road blocks and stop all traffic besides there own. If you want to throw it in four wheel drive and go off road and become a huge target for a helicopter to blow you all the hell then that's cool to you can go out as flame ball.
I prefer to take a couple burrows with packs and vanish into the mountains staying under cover and hope I don't get found by infared heat cams until I can get to a prospecters portal I have picked out.
I have a two sets of mule deer antlers on halters I plan to strap on them if I need to stake them out side to feed etc.
From the air a grey burrow with antlers will pass as a mule deer. So my vehicles wont get destroyed or give away my position.
I figure they will get good mileage and can navigate where no motorized vehicle or horse or mule can go.
They can skid logs for fire wood later on, Carry what I cannot many times over. They don't need there hooves trimmed and don't need to be shod and don't require huge amounts of food.
They can take extreme cold or heat and will let you know if something or some one is close. If worse comes to worse they can become food.

That would be like picking a single gun!!! I guess it would be the dually Dodge 4x4 with the Cummins but I can see where the Jeep could come in handy as well and I don't think I could leave it since it has been part of the family for so long!!!!
